“IoT is a cross-cutting trend that will change the way people live,
work, entertain and travel,
as well as the way governments and companies interact with the world.”
IMPACT OF IOT
IN THE FUTURE
IoT is the technology that will allow the connection of billions of devices to provide innovative and smarter solutions to current problems. In the coming years the growth of IoT will translate into:
- In 2020 there will be 20,400 million smart devices connected to the internet. 219% more than there are currently.
- The economic impact in 2020 is estimated to exceed 2,900 million Euros.
- The expected impact in the global economy of IoT is 20%
- The benefits in terms of productivity and time savings are estimated at 12%
- In 2020 there may be 800,000 unfilled ICT positions
INTEREST IN THE INTERNET OF THINGS
¿WHERE
YOU CAN
FIND

MOST DEMANDED PROFILES IN NEAR FUTURE
According to the IOT report prepared by Cotec (Internet of Things: analysis of educational offer and business demand in Spain) the most demanded profiles and their relative increase are the following:
Machine Learning
The algorithms proposed in the Machine Learning environment allow the processing of the data captured by the sensors and other connected devices so that the machines autonomously improve their future behavior.
Microcontroller programing
The thousands of IoT devices are connected and many of them are composed of a microcontroller that adds intelligence to the device to process the data.
Node JS
Node js is an open access server-side environment that allows you to develop applications to manage connected devices.
Big Data
Los elevadísimos volúmenes de datos proporcionados por los dispositivos IoT requieren de herramientas que faciliten su análisis y procesamiento.
Desarrollo de GPS
The GPS market is receiving a new boost thanks to the development of weareables, connected vehicles and logistics systems.
Autocad
The popular SW design has increased its use as the number of connected devices in the IoT ecosystem increases.
Circuit Design
Connected devices need designs that take into account the new requirements of IoT systems.
Security
The security of the information and the data generated by the devices is one of the biggest limitations of the development of IoT devices.
Security Engineering
Cybersecurity is one of the challenges facing the IoT market. Security threats and data privacy limit its expansion.
PREVIOUS
KNOWLEDGE
If you have any of the following degrees you can directly access the master without any training supplement. Each subject will adapt to the previous knowledge of the students.
